BIG4 Wilsons Prom Holiday Park
Nature & Wildlife at your doorstep
One of the highlights of staying at BIG4 Wilsons Prom Holiday is the chance to experience Australia’s incredible native wildlife up close. Our holiday park is surrounded by natural bushland, making it a peaceful haven for a variety of local species. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and rabits grazing in the early morning or evening, wombats wandering nearby, and native birds filling the air with their calls throughout the day.
Staying with us offers a relaxed and respectful way to connect with nature, right from your campsite or cabin. We encourage guests to enjoy wildlife from a distance and help preserve this special environment for future visitors.

Wilsons Prom Wildlife Walk
Extend your horizons and checkout the Wilsons Prom Wildlife Walk. Located approximately 25–30 minutes’ drive from our holiday park, the Wildlife Walk is a must do experience for guests wanting to connect with the natural beauty of the Prom. This easy, family-friendly track is approximately a 45-minute return walk, taking you through open grasslands and coastal bush where wildlife is often seen grazing and roaming freely, especially during the early morning and late afternoon. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, emus, wombats, and a variety of native birdlife as you explore at your own pace. The wide, flat path makes it accessible for most visitors and perfect for a relaxed nature walk.

Wilsons Promontory is one of Victoria’s most spectacular spots for whale watching, with the season typically running from May through to October as whales migrate along the coastline. During this time, you may be lucky enough to spot majestic Humpback Whales as well as the rarer Southern Right Whales, which sometimes pause in calmer bays to rest with their calves. Some of the best viewing locations around Wilsons Prom include coastal lookouts and beaches such as those near Tidal River, as well as offshore landmarks like Skull Rock, where cruises like Wanderer Adventures offer a closer perspective of these incredible animals in their natural habitat. Elevated vantage points along walking tracks and headlands also provide excellent opportunities to scan the ocean for movement.
